Melody Moffatt is a graphic designer, artist, musician, music teacher, and composer from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada.
Melody has had the pleasure of working with a variety of organizations, small businesses, and inventors. She graduated with Distinction from Sault College’s Graphic Design program and has since built over 12 years of experience in her field. She works across a wide range of mediums, including print and digital advertising, branding, social media, video, packaging, editorial design, and illustration. She has spent a significant part of her career as a Senior Designer at YNCU (Your Neighbourhood Credit Union), where she led creative projects and contributed to the organization’s visual identity.
Melody also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Algoma University, where she studied piano and cello performance. In addition to her design career, she has developed a diverse teaching practice, working with students of all ages through the Algoma Conservatory of Music and Case’s Music in Sault Ste. Marie, offering private instruction in piano, music theory, and cello.
During the pandemic, Melody released a collection of compositions, including works written for short film. Inspired by composers Ludovico Einaudi, Alexandra Stréliski, and Jean-Michel Blais, her music reflects neo-classical and minimalist influences.
Today, Melody pursues careers in both music and design. In her free time she enjoys spending time in nature, hiking, running, arranging music, and being at home with her partner Jon and her two cats.
